Tejano music’s biggest stars are giving back in a major way this Thanksgiving, offering free meals, music, and hope to communities across Texas. From Edinburg to San Antonio to Lubbock, artists are turning the holiday into a celebration of compassion and unity.
Two-time Latin GRAMMY winner Bobby Pulido partnered with Fundación Amor Infinito on Tuesday for a heartwarming community celebration at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg. The event featured FREE food, family-friendly activities, and live music, creating a festive atmosphere designed to bring families together during the holiday season. Pulido’s dedication to uplifting the Rio Grande Valley continues to shine as he uses his platform to support those most in need.
In San Antonio, newly crowned Tejano Music Awards New Female Artist of the Year Jenny B spent her Tuesday handing out free turkeys at the St. Paul Community Center, ensuring families had a Thanksgiving meal they could enjoy at home. The giveaway was made possible through her Tejanos Unidos Food Drive & Concert, held earlier this month with support from Ricardo Castillon and Thrive Entertainment, benefiting both families and the San Antonio Food Bank. Jenny B’s efforts are a powerful reminder of how rising stars can lift their communities while rising in their careers.
The giving continues on Thanksgiving Day in Lubbock, where Grupo Asalto is teaming up with fellow musicians — including Grupo Zodiacal, Michael Salgado, Grupo Solido, Lucky Joe, Devin Banda, Bumper’s Wacky Wednesday, and Aaron Holler — to host a Free Thanksgiving Meal & Music event at the Imperial Convention Center.
Doors open at 5 PM, welcoming anyone in need of a warm meal, live Tejano sounds, and good company. The evening will include free food, festive entertainment, and even an open jam session thanks to a full sound setup, inviting musicians and guests to join in the fun. No cost, no questions — just community.
