SAN ANTONIO, TX –  During a season when families come together to give thanks and uplift one another, CHRISTUS Children’s Foundation is deeply honored to announce a generous donation of $130,000 from Intocable — the GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY-winning Tejano and Norteño group whose music and message have long celebrated unity and community. The group’s contribution reminds us what true compassion looks like in action, uplifting families and caregivers during a time when they need it most.

This heartfelt contribution arrives at a time when many families are in greater need of care and compassion, helping advance essential renovations throughout CHRISTUS Children’s. The donation will fund enhancements to family and caregiver areas on the hospital’s 9th-floor Rehabilitation Unit, 10th-floor Progressive Care and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, and 11th-floor Surgical Care Unit — reinforcing comfort, healing, and dignity for patients, families, and caregivers this Thanksgiving season and beyond.

The renovation project includes relocating the family room to a more central and secure location, adding a compact washer and dryer for family use, and converting the current family room into a nurses’ breakroom with natural light. Security enhancements will also be installed to better control access to high-traffic hallways better.

Josh Rendon, vice president of CHRISTUS Children’s Foundation, expressed deep appreciation for the band’s support. “We are incredibly grateful to Ricardo Muñoz and Intocable for their generosity and commitment to our mission. Their gift will make a meaningful difference for the families we serve and the Associates who care for them every day.”

About the group’s commitment to their community and supporting the CHRISTUS Children’s Foundation, Intocable founder and lead vocalist, Ricardo Muñoz, expressed, “We’re truly honored to support CHRISTUS Children’s. This hospital is a lifeline for so many families, offering care and hope when they need it most. Intocable has always believed in family, unity, and giving back—values that guide both our music and our actions. We hope our gift brings comfort to families staying close to their children and a mindful space for those taking care of them.”

Intocable has set the standard in Latin music, selling out arenas, earning multiple recognitions, nominations, and praise for their innovative fusion of traditional Mexican sounds with modern storytelling. In a historic chapter of the band’s legacy, in 2025 Intocable was inducted into the “Class of 2026” of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, became the second act with the most No. 1s on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay chart; they became the first Norteño act to have a dedicated station on SiriusXM, and were among the Top 20 of Billboard’s “Top Latin Artists of the 21st Century” and are among the “75 Best Regional Mexican Acts of All Time”. Beyond creating music with purpose, Intocable supports efforts that give back to communities and are passionate about working with charities, including CHRISTUS Children’s Foundation and Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation.

The donation is part of the hospital’s Keeping Promises campaign, which seeks to improve the holistic care environment for children and families in vulnerable situations.
