EDINBURG, TX — Tejano superstar Elida Reyna is preparing for an emotional homecoming as she performs her final Rio Grande Valley show at the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas, on November 8, 2025. The concert is one of only five remaining dates on Elida Reyna Y Avante’s Farewell Tour, marking the end of a legendary 34-year touring career.
The two-time Latin Grammy Award winner and most decorated artist in Tejano Music Awards history—with an unmatched 42 awards—will officially retire from touring at the end of the year. Before her Valley finale, Reyna will perform in Garland, Texas (Oct. 17), Corpus Christi (Oct. 18), and Monterrey, Mexico (Oct. 25), before closing her tour with a grand finale at San Antonio’s Majestic Theatre on Dec. 12.
In a recent video filmed with #PVT Network podcast host and radio personality Rock-N-Roll James at Bert Ogden Arena, Reyna shared her excitement for her hometown performance.
“Very, very excited. I’m super excited,” she said. “We’ve got some great shows lined up and this one’s going to be one of the best ones because it’s in my hometown. It’s in my backyard, and so I’m just excited to see all the fans out here. It’s gonna be great. We just wanted to go out with a bang.”

Earlier this year, Reyna spoke candidly about her decision to retire in an interview with KIII 3 News anchor and Domingo Live host Barbi Leo, reflecting on her extraordinary career and what lies ahead.
“I just thought it was time,” she shared. “I’ve had an amazing career — 34 years, over 40 awards, two Grammys. I feel like I’ve pretty much done it all… I’m happy. I’m content. And now it’s time to spend time with my family.”
Her upcoming Edinburg concert promises to be one of the most meaningful nights of her career, with special guests and surprises planned to celebrate her legacy alongside the fans who have supported her from the very beginning.
Beyond her countless accolades and timeless hits, Elida Reyna hopes her impact goes deeper than music.
“I want to be remembered as a good person,” she said. “Someone who made a difference. Someone who felt like family through music.”
As Elida Reyna takes her final bow, she leaves behind a legacy defined by faith, strength, and authenticity, forever securing her place among the most beloved icons in Tejano music.
