Latin GRAMMY-nominated singer and two-time Tejano Music Awards Female Vocalist of the Year Destiny Navaira has officially released her highly anticipated new single, “Nada Que Ver,” now available on all digital streaming platforms. The fresh track marks the next chapter in the rollout of her upcoming third full-length studio album, delivering a melodic, modern, and soul-baring take on the classic breakup narrative.
In an intimate behind-the-scenes conversation, Destiny opened up about the emotional core of the song and how long it’s been in the making. “I’ve actually had this song for quite a while,” she revealed. “‘Nada que ver’ is a phrase in Spanish that basically means, like, ‘No, that’s not it’ or ‘That has nothing to do with it.’ It’s about moving on from a relationship and realizing that what you thought was love really wasn’t.”
To shape the concept into its final lyrical form, Destiny teamed up with longtime friend and collaborator Eduardo “Yayo” Anguiano. “I told him, ‘Hey, help me out with this song—I have the idea, the concept of nada que ver, about leaving a relationship behind,’” she said. “When he sent me the song back, I thought, yes, this is exactly what I wanted.”
Destiny also dove into her musical inspirations for the track, noting that it intentionally leans away from traditional Tejano sonics. “It’s not the traditional Tejano song,” she explained. “During that time, I was listening to a lot of different music. One song I really loved was Becky G’s ‘Muchas Gracias,’ and it had a similar vibe—something melodic, rhythmic, and emotional. I wanted to do something like that, but in my own style.”
The result is a heartfelt and empowering anthem about self-realization after heartbreak. “It’s another breakup song,” she said with a smile. “It’s that moment after a relationship when you think, Nada que ver contigo—like, why was I even crying over you? Everyone goes through that at some point, and this song captures that feeling perfectly.”

“‘Nada Que Ver’ is honestly one of my favorites on the album,” Destiny shared. “It’s going to be the first of the breakup songs—and I’m really excited for everyone to hear it.”
