Houston-based rising talent Bianca Ruiz joined Domingo Live hosts Rudy Treviño and Barbi Leo to talk about her new music, a pair of ambitious projects that showcase both major industry collaborations and her passion for uplifting young musicians. The dynamic singer shared the story behind her debut single, “Bailar Para Olvidar,” created alongside award-winning producer and hitmaker Gabriel Zavala, husband and musical partner of Tejano superstar Stefani Montiel.
Ruiz said the opportunity was a dream come true. “Stefani Montiel has always been my idol, right? And so what better person to do my very first single, right? And so I reached out to Gabriel… this is another one of his hit songs… he did incredible. And so yeah, I was so excited to be able to partner with him. And of course, be able to have a one-on-one with Stephanie Montiel, the one and only. It’s been such an incredible song, and it’s done very well. I was so happy to do that with Gabriel.”

Bianca also discussed her latest release, the original mariachi single “Vete Con El,” a project that highlights her commitment to community and the next generation of artists. The song features the Klein Oak High School mariachi band from the north Houston area—students she discovered on TikTok while searching for inspiration. After reaching out to band director Tanner Ledford, the collaboration came to life in the studio. “They recorded in the studio with me, and they did an incredible job,” she shared.
For Ruiz, giving young talent a spotlight is deeply personal. “Listen, I started singing at 10 years old. And if I had that opportunity myself, I would have taken it and tried to ride as far as I could go with it. For me, it’s always about really trying to do for the community, give back to the community. These kids are so talented, and I’m so proud of them. We even did a performance at their high school on the night we released ‘Vete Con El.’ It was just such an amazing, incredible [experience].”

Bianca revealed that “Vete Con El” is a true family project, co-written with her husband, attorney Alberto Ruiz, and shaped with the help of co-producer Jesus Baca. “My husband and I sat in the living room one day throwing out ideas, and we wrote the song… It’s a beautiful, beautiful, incredible mariachi song. I hope you guys like it.”
