Jennifer Peña has officially announced her next single with a teaser for “Atada”, which will be released on Friday, September 5, 2025, on all digital music platforms.

According to Latin Groove News“Atada” is a powerful love song that showcases the stunningly gorgeous vocals of the Latin music star, and also a real-life emotional load. The new song reflects her heart and her soul, and you can hear it, note by note: a sincere expression of true love. Atada is a phenomenal song with crossover potential in many genres.

The report praised Peña’s artistry, adding, “The power behind the song is that it reflects real-life experiences and the feelings of this beautiful superstar who has grown into a stunning woman before our very eyes. Atada is Jennifer Peña today. Her writing and her inspiration drove the creation of this song in collaboration with Shelly Lares and José Rosario, resulting in a love letter for lovers everywhere.”

Tejano legend “Little Miss Dynamite” Shelly Lares, who co-wrote the song, expressed her excitement about the collaboration. “Excited to have co-written ‘Atada’ along with José Rosario and Jennifer Peña, as well as co-producing with Mando Aussenac,” she shared. “Late last year, Jennifer shared her desire to return to songwriting, and I offered my studio and team at Shellshock Records 3 to help bring her vision to life. I had already been working on an arrangement, and when Jennifer came in with her story and emotions, she and José connected immediately—crafting powerful lyrics together with incredible chemistry.”

Known for her genre-blending sound that fuses Tejano, cumbia, and Latin pop, the multi-platinum artist continues to evolve. Recent releases like “Wakala” earlier this summer, her comeback single “Fuerte” in 2023, and her collaboration with Los Inquietos del Vallenato on “Nunca Niegues Que Te Amo” prove she’s still pushing creative boundaries. Earlier this year, Peña also signed a distribution deal with Symphonic Latino, further expanding her reach in the digital era.

In a previous message to supporters, Peña opened up about the journey that led to her reemergence.

“I’ve waited so long for this moment,” she said. “I hadn’t considered all the challenges this journey would bring, but I love how God has given me the full confidence I needed to see it through. Every time I felt afraid or lost confidence, He filled me with faith and taught me that nothing and no one could stop the plans He has for me—or for my children.”

From her breakout albums Libre and Seducción to her continued chart success, Jennifer Peña remains a voice of strength and authenticity.

Fans can pre-save “Atada” now at ffm.to/atada and stream it worldwide when it officially drops next Friday, September 5.
