Siggno frontman Jesse Turner is mourning the devastating loss of his mother. The Latin Grammy winner announced the heartbreaking news in an emotional statement on social media.

“I can’t find the words to express how I feel right now,” Turner shared. “Went to my mom’s house yesterday and she served me and my brother Lucky one last time. We talked about Bible text with Alexa. She was perfectly fine and I said, ‘I love you Mom, I’ll look at you later’… and I didn’t expect this moment to be the last time. My mother went to rest with the Lord yesterday and I feel a pain that only those who have lived it will understand. I’m devastated, I’m heartbroken, but I have peace in God, I find peace in my family, I find peace with you who always saw my mother as a beautiful loving memory. Thank you for your calls, your messages… very soon I will give you the details of her service. Your friend always, Jesse Turner.”

The post included photos from his final evening with his mother, alongside his close friend Lucky Joe, who also once lived with Turner and his mom. Lucky Joe expressed his own grief on social media, writing, “‘May God keep you and watch over you always wherever you go, my son’ are the last words my little mother Turner said to me, and my heart hurts so much for the family of my brother Jesse Turner. I ask you to please keep my brother and his family in your prayers.”

Turner shared a deep and special bond with his mother, who was often seen praying over him at concerts and performances. She was not only a guiding force in his personal life, but also a profound inspiration in his music. One of his most cherished songs, “Mamá,” was written as a heartfelt tribute to her.

In a candid 2023 interview Turner reflected on how his songwriting became therapy during his struggles with depression after losing his father at a young age. “You know I had struggles. I was a depressed child, a kid because his dad died at 7 years old trying to understand at the age of 13–14, where my dad went, so I became a cutter,” Turner revealed. “After I became a cutter, I hurt myself, I ended up in the hospital and I realized I was hurting my mom.”

Songwriting became his path to healing. “That’s why I wrote ‘Mamá,’” he said. “I said, ‘This girl isn’t the love of my life, my mom is the love of my life.’ So, instead of cutting myself, I started cutting paper with a pen and that became lyrics. I started writing song after song after song. That’s why I was able to write so many songs at the beginning of my career, because I was in a therapy session with God, with myself, writing my story.”
