RIVERVIEW, FL. — The summer sun set on a memorable season of music as Red Cardinal Entertainment and Lola’s Latin Club bid farewell to their highly successful Ladies First collaboration. The unique venture, which concluded Saturday night (Aug. 16), brought a lineup of talented female Tejano artists to the famous Lola’s Stage in Riverview, Florida.

The idea was born from a meeting between Menavi Entertainment and Red Cardinal Entertainment Agency while booking their GRAMMY-nominated artist, La Machy. Known for her dynamic performances as the owner and former lead singer of the all-female cumbia group La Conquista, La Machy and her manager envisioned a project that would showcase the talents of other female artists. Together, the two agencies crafted a bold initiative to bring these voices to the forefront.

Carefully orchestrated, the series began with calls to women representing the richness of Tejano music. Artists such as Savannah VRita CapuchinaCortney SalinasJenny B, and Cristina Salinas answered the call.

La Machy’s influence was felt throughout the series—not only did she perform, but she also led masterclasses, ensuring each artist and band member was prepared to succeed while bringing their own unique flair to the stage.

The artists were welcomed with towering billboards across Florida and featured on podcasts and radio interviews, including Tex Flo Radio with personality Anthony “DJ Pink Panther” Losolla, who gave them a platform to share their stories firsthand.

Each performer brought her own style, from Latin GRAMMY winner Cristina Salinas, who drew hundreds to her heartfelt tribute to late Tejano icon Jimmy González, to Savannah V, Rita Capuchina, Cortney Salinas, and La Reina, who commanded both the stage and dance floor throughout the summer. The finale was capped by Jenny B, delivering an electrifying performance that closed the series on a high note.

Ladies First was more than a celebration of female artistry—it was also an ode to Hispanic heritage. Special guest appearances included Florida-based artists G5Jesse VillarrealJonathan Espinoza, and most recently, one of today’s most sought-after bands, Grupo Vidal. The series became a beacon of cultural pride, drawing audiences to the richness of Tejano music.

Though the curtain has closed on this remarkable summer collaboration, its legacy is undeniable. With cherished memories made, the artists are eager to return to Lola’s, while agency owners Christine Peña and Carlos Aviles are already planning future projects to ensure that Tejano music continues to resound—to infinity and beyond.
