DONNA, TX — The popular Rio Grande Valley online show Aquí Entre Nosotros con Julian Valdez is launching an exciting new singing competition, Buscando Las Estrellas, aimed at discovering the brightest young voices in all genres of music. Open to two age groups — 11 to 14 and 15 to 18 — the contest offers a unique opportunity for aspiring performers to showcase their talent and potentially kickstart their musical careers.
In-person auditions are set for Saturday, August 2nd, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at El Mezquital Saloon, located at 2510 Mile 11, Donna, Texas. Contestants must not have any studio recordings available on streaming or music platforms to qualify.
The grand prize for each age group includes a one-year 360 recording contract with Damn It Boy Music, headed by AreEss 3, and a cash prize (to be announced), along with other exciting rewards. The contest will be televised on a local network throughout the competition, culminating in a grand finale at a historic venue yet to be revealed.

Celebrity judge and Tejano music sensation Magali Delarosa, who is also an actress, shared her excitement in a heartfelt video message posted to social media:

“There is going to be an incredible singing contest going on here in the Rio Grande Valley hosted by Aquí Entre Nosotros. I’m going to be one of the judges on the panel, and this is very dear to my heart. I am a singer, a Tejano singer, and I used to do singing contests growing up.
This is an incredible contest with a cash prize and a recording contract for the winner ages 11 through 18. You can come in person, you can sing for us live, or send in a video. And you don’t have to be from the Valley! If you know someone who sings, please pass this along. I’m so excited for this beautiful passion project — I hope to see you on Saturday!”
Joining Delarosa on the judges’ panel will be AreEss 3, founder of Damn It Boy Music, whose label has produced and supported some of the Rio Grande Valley’s freshest talent in recent years.
