SAN ANTONIO, TX — Award-winning vocalist and rising Latinx star Alicia C has released a striking new rendition of Selena Quintanilla’s iconic “Si Una Vez,” delivering a genre-blending tribute that pays homage to the Queen of Tejano while ushering in a bold new era of sound. The single marks Alicia’s debut release with NextGen Latinx Records and is now streaming across all major platforms.
With its fusion of soul, funk, and Latin pop, Alicia C’s interpretation of “Si Una Vez” is a daring departure from the traditional Tejano roots of the original. Produced by Mike Torres III and engineered by John Ontiveros at 45HQ studios, the track puts Alicia’s powerhouse vocals front and center, showcasing her dynamic range and fearless artistry.
“This release is a love letter to Selena, Tejano music, and the generations of artists she inspired,” said Alicia C. “I wanted to honor her legacy while bringing something new and vibrant to the table.”
