Tejano music fans, get ready! Ricardo Castillon Y La Diferenzia have officially announced the dates for their 2025 Renacimiento del Phoenix Tour, marking an exciting new chapter for the beloved Tejano band. The tour is in support of their upcoming album Renacimiento del Phoenix, set to release in early 2025. The album will feature 12 original tracks that promise to take fans back to the classic sound that made La Diferenzia a household name in the ‘90s.
“We went back to our roots for this album,” Ricardo Castillon shared. “Over the last 15 years, I experimented with various sounds, but they never captured the true essence of La Diferenzia. I was navigating through a lot of different emotions during that time, but now La Diferenzia is back and stronger than ever. This is the sound that made La Diferenzia a household name in the ‘90s!”
The album is a collaborative effort with Ricardo’s talented production team, including the award-winning duo of Rolando Revilla Jr. and Fabian Hernandez. Both producers are known for their work on Jay Perez’s Latin Grammy-nominated album El Patron, which recently won Album of the Year at the 44th Tejano Music Awards.
Fans have already had a taste of the new sound with the release of two singles: the lead track “Que Tropieza” and the heartfelt “Preciosa,” both of which have generated excitement among longtime followers.
Ricardo Castillon Y La Diferenzia first rose to fame in the 1990s with hits like “Linda Chaparrita,” “Mundo Sin Guitarras,” and “Si Lo Quieres.” Known for their energetic performances and a seamless blend of cumbias and heartfelt ballads, the band has remained a staple in the Tejano music scene for decades. Now, with their new project, La Diferenzia is set to reclaim their place at the top.
