Fans of Selena and vinyl collectors are in for a special treat — Entre A Mi Mundo, the groundbreaking album from the “Queen of Cumbia,” will be available on vinyl for the first time ever. With newly remastered audio, the album will be released on April 25, 2025, in two stunning versions: a standard red vinyl and an exclusive picture disc available only through the Universal Music Latino webstore. Pre-orders are now live, offering fans a chance to own a piece of Tejano music history.
Released in 1992, Entre A Mi Mundo was Selena’s third studio album with EMI, following her signing with the label in 1989 — a pivotal move that catapulted her career to new heights and featured her signature Tejano cumbia sound with pop elements. The album features some of Selena’s most beloved hits, including the career-defining “Como La Flor,” which became a massive success and solidified her status as a rising Tejano star. The album topped Billboard‘s Regional Mexican Albums chart, reached the Top 5 on the Top Latin Albums chart, and even made its way into the Billboard 200 — a rare achievement for a Tejano album at the time.
In addition to “Como La Flor,” Entre A Mi Mundo includes fan favorites like “La Carcacha,” “¿Qué Creías?,” and “Si La Quieres.” The new vinyl release will feature a reimagined front and back cover to commemorate its historic first pressing, giving fans a fresh way to experience this classic album.
This release comes as the solemn 30th anniversary of Selena’s tragic passing approaches on March 31, 1995. The vinyl pressing follows the recent 30th-anniversary release of Amor Prohibido on vinyl, which has been well received by fans. The Universal Latino webstore also offers additional Selena collectibles, including the Amor Prohibido vinyl, CD, and cassette, as well as the two-disc vinyl of her greatest hits LP, Ones.
Selena’s cultural impact remains as strong as ever. A recent documentary about Selena y Los Dinos premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, earning a Special Jury Award, and is set to have its Texas premiere at the SXSW Film and TV Festival this month in Austin. Reports indicate that Netflix is in talks for a multi-million dollar deal to add the documentary to its streaming catalog, ensuring that Selena’s legacy will continue to reach new generations.
