Latin Grammy-nominated singer Destiny Navaira recently shared an update on her recovery following gastric sleeve surgery in Monterrey, Mexico, three weeks ago. In a video posted on social media, Destiny provided insights into her journey and expressed gratitude for the support she has received.

“So I am post-op almost three weeks. I’m not going to share how much weight I’ve lost because I want to wait for the month to share with you guys. I’ll be doing monthly updates, but so far so good,” Destiny said. “Luckily, thank God I didn’t have much post-op pain, nothing out of the ordinary. I healed very quickly and I think a large part of that had to do with recovering those eight days after my surgery at the Dunamis Recovery House in Monterrey.”

Destiny praised the care she received at the recovery house, noting, “Literally, I was served hand and foot. My medicines were on time, my vitamins were on time, my food was scheduled. So I think that really had a big part in the process of me healing.”

Upon returning home to San Antonio, Destiny admitted to feeling apprehensive about managing her diet but credited her nutritionist, Ana Paula, for making the transition smooth. “Everything was super clear, went to the store, got what I needed. And so, so far so good,” she shared.

Destiny also expressed her appreciation for Health Sin Fronteras, the company that facilitated her surgery. “I appreciate everybody who’s messaged me, who’s asked me questions and who has reached out about Health Sin Fronteras. Once again, this is the company that took me from San Antonio to Monterrey to get the gastric sleeve done. And so far so good. I have no regrets. It is challenging at times, but I can definitely feel the difference and I just, I feel so much better.”

Looking ahead, Destiny is excited about the next steps in her recovery. “I just got approved for my third phase of the diet, which is basically soft foods. I can eat eggs now, very shredded chicken, things that have a little bit more protein. They’re introducing some carbs, some protein, things like that. And then I’m really excited to get back in the gym,” she said. “I think I have to wait another week to go ahead and do that, but I’m excited to get back in the gym and start my physical activity again.”

Destiny plans to return to Monterrey in January for a follow-up appointment with Health Sin Fronteras. “I’m very excited to see my transformation. I can already feel it in these three weeks. Just through so many things in my body, I see color changes in my skin, my energy levels, my hair. I’m really excited for my recovery and for this transformation that’s going to happen.”
