Annual Papalote Volunteer Fire Department Cook-Off
Held at Papalote Fire Station: 134 CR 629, Sinton, TX 78387 (in Papalote between Sinton and Skidmore on Highway 181)
April 24th and 25th, 2026
Cash prize for 1st through 10th in each meat category and cash prize for grand and reserve champion
Brisket - 1/2 Chicken - Pork Spare Ribs
Entry Fee $225 (1 meat or all); limit of 45 teams
Reserve sites, must be paid in advance
Jackpot beans, Cook's Choice and Women Only Dessert - entry fee $30 each, prize 50/50, cash prize pay out 1st place only
All IBCA meats and jackpot items must be prepared on site
Turn in times:
Friday, April 24th - cook's choice at 7pm
Saturday, April 25th
- 10am - beans
- 11am - women's only dessert
- 12pm - chicken judging
- 1:30p - pork spare ribs
- 3:00p - brisket
